Cambridge Audio - Edge A

Cambridge Audio presents the most detailed integrated amplifier product! Shade every detail of your favorite music, enjoy the effortless power with incredible depth and unlimited stage.

More musical detail

We pioneered the use of toroidal transformers in amplifiers, resulting in improved performance with each generation. In Edge we'll take it a step further by using symmetrically opposed twin toroidal transformers. This cancels out electromagnetic interference while providing remarkable power and maintaining consistent tonality regardless of listening volume.

Unlimited power without distortion

Using standard Class A amplification technology was not efficient enough for the Edge A. Instead, we added a bias voltage to a classic AB design, reducing distortion to inaudible levels. This unique configuration also produces less heat making the whole system much more efficient.

Hi-res Bluetooth

Pair any Bluetooth device to the Edge A to easily stream your music. With aptX HD support, you can play sound at up to 24-bit / 48 kHz quality for an incredibly rich listening experience.

Sonic purity

Edge A was designed with a unique PCB. Our engineers replaced conventional capacitors with a DC-coupled topology and added a solid-state volume control. The end result is a signal path that is perfectly balanced at any volume.
