To remove the old pen (needle), hold the cartridge in one hand, grasp the plastic casing with your thumb and forefinger, and pull the cartridge out. The stylus assembly protrudes at a slight angle as indicated by the arrow.
To install a replacement pen, insert the new pen assembly into the cartridge at a slight angle so that the hook on the end of the pen fits into the slot in the cartridge body. The pen assembly should snap into place when fully seated on the cartridge. The stylus must be fully seated on the body for proper operation.
