With an experience of almost 50 years, Cambridge Audio is a company started by enthusiasm and motivated by the passion for HiFi sound. Cambridge Audio products are equipment designed with scientific rigor, but tested and fine-tuned following test auditions. Finally, the performance of the equipment and speakers must be validated by the pleasure offered during the auditions.
The SX is the range of entry-level speakers of the British manufacturer Cambridge Audio, and the SX-60 is the larger model of the shelf speaker. The construction is 2-way, bass-reflex with the port facing the front. The tweeters have a silk dome and have a detailed and non-aggressive response on high frequencies. A special sponge is placed behind the diaphragm, the result being a reduction of unwanted reflections and an improved stereophonic image - wide and deep soundstage. The bass speakers have membranes made of treated paper, and the magnets are optimized for a powerful and controlled bass response. The enclosures are made of MDF and are internally stiffened.
