Let yourself be surprised by the Kanta speakers, which will reunite you with your favorite music. Total dedication in terms of acoustic performance and a charming aesthetic, represents Kanta's DNA! It took three years of research and development to create this model, Kanta No.2, the first in the range. With the new materials and efficient design that gave them this strong identity, these speakers come straight from the heart of the engineers. Focal offers an unprecedented fusion of technologies: the combination of beryllium with the IAL3 tweeter, with Flax, for the midrange and bass drivers. The result is a precise, detailed sound, full of warmth and musicality.
Beryllium and Flax
For the first time, a speaker has a Flax cone and a Beryllium tweeter. Flax is the answer to the reduced mass / stiffness / damping equation, leading to sonic clarity and precision. The unique Flax / Beryllium combination gives the music an amazing warmth and musicality. Made in France, the patented Flax cone has proven its performance for Focal systems. The midrange speaker uses a TMD (Tuned Mass Damping) suspension, and each Kanta speaker is equipped with a NIC (Neutral Inductance Circuit) motor, which establishes the magnetic field for a perfectly defined sound and for a better controlled bass.
High density polymer
Everything is designed and manufactured to offer delicacy and sound warmth: the density and rigidity of the front panel and the materials of the enclosure, the rounded angles and the double ports. The front panel is made of a new material according to the acoustic parameters. It is molded in a single unit from HDP (High Density Polymer). This material offers exceptional performance: it is 70% denser than MDF, 15% stiffer and offers 25% more cushioning. The front panel completely eliminates any sound diffraction. The Kanta incorporates Power Flow technology with two ports, on the front and rear panels, to limit bass compression.
