Four is better than one: Introducing Alienware's quad-fan technology, an industry-exclusive, patent-pending solution that we've built into our X Series laptops. This new design includes a combination of standard exhaust fans , which moves air through the system, and Dual Opposite Outlet (DOO) fans that move air through the case and through various internal hotspots, creating a pressurized environment that dissipates heat and reduces the external temperature. Each fan is intelligently controlled and individually programmed to operate independently and create the desired cooling balance. This system improves performance by maintaining airflow and internal case pressure at an optimal level.

Intelligent Quad Airflow: Play with confidence and worry-free while your system is intelligently cooled based on your gaming behavior and required thermal requirements. Each of the four fans work independently to regulate and control the surface temperatures of the system, CPU, and GPU. Additionally, each fan can spin, slow down, or move constantly independently, depending on your system's needs. Custom Power: Just like a car's gearbox, with this exclusive patent-pending technology, gamers can set, activate and manage five unique power states through the Alienware Command Center. These five power states are established via a set of sensors and variables in the CPU and GPU circuitry. Depending on your needs, you can choose from thermal performance mode, balanced mode, battery saving mode, silent mode and full speed mode. You can also switch between them outside of the Alienware Command Center by using FN+F1.
