Qutest is our "pure" DAC (no headphone amplifiers or rechargeable batteries included) and is designed to improve sound quality in any hi-res system. It is the latest evolution of the most affordable standalone DAC produced by Chord, the multi-award winning 2Qute that it replaces. Qutest is the CES 2018 star of the prestigious publication What Hi-Fi? , and is based on our FPGA technology, implemented in the Hugo 2 reference amplifier / DAC, winner of many awards.

Redesigned electronic design and architecture


Qutest offers filters, proprietary Chord, user-selectable frequency modeling as we also find in Hugo 2 for beautifying the sound and input selection commands available through two illuminated spherical buttons. It also offers analog RCA outputs for connecting to integrated amplifiers, preamps and headphone amplifiers, as well as BNC digital inputs for connecting to future Chord Electronics products. Another new feature is a user-selectable output voltage available in 1, 2 and 3V RMS outputs for flexible connectivity with a wide range of devices.
